The Sanctity of Human Life:
David Carr –
Life itself is
a very sacred and privileged gift that should be protected
at all cost. The Scriptures remind us of this; Genesis 2:7,
“…God formed man…and breathed into his nostrils …LIFE…”
Genesis 5:2, “Male and female created HE them …” Psalms
139:13-16, “…I am fearfully and wonderfully made…made in
secret.” Isaiah 44:2, “…the LORD made thee…formed thee from
the womb.” Isaiah 44:24, “…HE formed thee from the womb and
…made all things.” Job 33:4, “The Spirit of God hath made
me and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.”
There have been two stifling events taken place in my
lifetime that murdered life and brought great emotional
grief to me and to my nation. These events literally stunned
and completely redirected life in America! These events
invaded history in 1973 and 2001…and…of course, I’m
referring to the legalization of abortion on demand in
1973 and the bombings of the World Trade Center in
2001. America has so much to offer its people yet we
see its gifts disintegrating into political slavery directed
by its unwise shepherds! When our national shepherds
(leaders) sympathize with terrorists and illegals … and then
shut their eyes and close their ears to the cry of the
unborn, the future hangs in the balance with uncertainty and
chaos. It is truly frightening! With your permission,
could I share factual information with you that might
explain why you might consider abortion truly is … the
taking of human life rather than just a “fetus” or “blob of
tissue?” Human life begins at conception! …Psalm 51:5, “…in
sin did my mother conceive me.”
Within 30
days, the unborn child, possessing a separate DNA structure
from its mother and father, has grown 10,000 times its
original size to 6-7mm (1/4 inch). Blood is now flowing in
the child’s veins, but remains separate from its mother’s
blood. At 43 days, a skeleton has now formed and brain
waves of the unborn child can now be recorded. At 8 weeks,
the unborn child’s heart is beating steadily and the kidneys
begin to function. At 9 weeks, the unborn child will bend
its fingers around objects and suck its thumb. By 12 weeks,
the unborn child can swallow, turn its feet, turn its head,
open its mouth and even smile. This is just the first
trimester of development and the time period wherein most
abortions take place. Again, do not be deceived by
semantics…there is a vast difference between an “unborn
child” … “fetus” or “blob of tissue.” You can do a number
of things to help with the sanctity of life. One thing is
particular, put a Kentucky or Tennessee “Choose Life”
license plate on your car in your support for life and offer
an additional gift for organizations like “Aim Pregnancy
Center” when purchasing your plates from the County Court
Clerk!
